It is currently used mostly for baseball games and serves as the home of Tigres de Aragua, a team from the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. Located at Campo Elías Street in Maracay, the stadium holds 15,328 people and opened in 1965. The Aragua Tigres are one of the most dominant forces in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, winning 3 out of the last 4 championships. With this the attendance of the facility has being increasing yearly making necessary major improvements to the structure of the building and also for the 2006 Caribbean Series that took place between Maracay and Valencia.
